Christmas beetles buzzing in my ear means its time to pull out the fly swatter.

Christmas in South Africa is tainted. Not only is it blooming hot and sticky over the 'snowy season' but you have to get a plastic tree. *Cringe*

Also with this time of the year the blasted Christmas beetles come out to play. They are excellent pilots when they are aiming for my open mouth or blinking eyeball. They are lame. Today I saw my first one of the season. Bring it on beetle! I got the super fab fly swatter. You are going down...

lol I have this vision of you. All poised and ready armed with a Super Fab fly swatter, as if it were a baseball bat. Ready to swing.

Don't you just love bugs. And why, why must it always be the mouth or eye!!!! I recently learned that when a bug flies in my brothers mouth, it makes him gag and throw up in his mouth. Funny! He's 39 years old, you'd think he'd just eat it or spit it out!

Hehe, I love the plastic trees though, so tacky and just right.

Nothing like a nice tacky Christmas tree as long as there are numerous prettily wrapped gifts with your name on!
Never heard of Christmas beetles before, glad we don't have them in New Zealand.
