I have a secret

I've heard that everyone has a weird neurotic trait. For some, its an alterego. For others it is a tick or learning disability.

I have several imagined neurotic traits. Several neurotic dislikes that I have accepted as a personality trait.

I've got to be the biggest freakshow occupying the planet.

But, the most embarrassing and frusterating and not imagined trait I have... is my secret.

I stutter. *cringe*

I work hard to not let it take over my whole speech all the time. Hubs thinks it cute. My family thinks it slightly annoying. But when I am excited or nervous my words sound like they are in a blender.

It's do frustrating to not be able to communicate like a normal human being. Or to be angry and have my words tumble out sounding nothing like I meant them too.

So it's share time. What is your secret or not so secret trait?

Awww... My boyfriend's brother stutter's too. He's taking speech therapy. But it's really not that bad... =)

I think there's no secret that I have an alter ego. If you think your family are annoyed with a little stutter, you should see how annoyed people get when they don't know which ego they're going to get.

Aww, I think stutters are cute also. I have a friend that stutters and it mostly appears when he's drunk and/or excited.

I talk too fast. When we were little my mom would hurry us up when we told her something and that habit has sticked. Sometimes I'll rattle something off to J and he'd be like; Wait...what!?

Mine more like a personality flaw. I'm extremely lazy.

My neighbor stutters, I don't mind.

Let's see, a personality quirk....Um, I have this annoying trait that makes me see negative before I see positive in all things. My hubs generally gets upset when it's focused at him...lol go figure why..

It's hard though, when inside you feels as though you fight with your own mind all the time. Trying to dicifer things, listen, and then reflect outwardly something nice or positive when you feel angry... I hate it.

My neurotic tick is that I type. Not so strange? Well, if I had a keyboard in front of me, it wouldn't be. It started years... I mean YEARS ago... probably when I was in high school... and that's a long time! I hear a word and my fingers type it out. I learned to type (for real) when I was in elementary school. My mom taught me and when I did a report they made me come to the office and type to prove that it was me. So I guess that I've always had an obsession with typing. You won't see me typing, it is very subtle. When Grandpa and I were dating and holding hands he picked up on it, but didn't really know what it was, he thought I was nervous.
